To the public they are The Nuclear Family! The perfect superhero family unit. If Leave it to Beaver's family had super powers, they'd be these guys.

After a space shuttle was bathed in cosmic radiation it plummeted to the Earth and crash landed right in the middle of suburbia, killing everyone and everything within a 30 mile radius. After months of the entire area being quarantine and barricaded 5 survivors were discovered living in their converted bomb shelter basement exactly where the ship crashed. Gifted with amazing powers from the blast, the family now works for the government as registered super heroes.

The patriarch and leader, Hugh Radd has become the Positron, the ultimate man and world's greatest dad. Along with his wife Barbara AKA the Electron they raise their daughter Debbie and her boyfriend, now fiance, who was also with them when the shuttle crashed as Fission and Fusion. Rounding out the family unit is their son, the precocious prodigy Teddy as Nano.

This is what the public sees. What they see is a lie. It's all an elaborate ruse by the young Nano. In reality Nano was the only survivor that day.

When the shuttle crashed and everything was vaporized Nano and his family were huddled together in their basement surrounding the young boy. After the blast Teddy came to covered in the ashes of his loved ones but was miraculously unharmed. He would learn that his mind and heart had been imprinted with the thoughts and memories of his family. All of their feelings, experiences, wants, needs, everything about them had been thrust upon the young boy. He was also gifted with a great power that day. With his mind, Nano can create constructs of his former family that can speak and act just like the people he had lost.

Some people know what it's like to have to grow up too quick but no one knows what this kid has to deal with. Imagine having to be 5 people at once, who are also superheroes, and going through puberty while being in love with your dead mother and sister. And for that matter your father and future brother-in-law
